Appearance

The Tobacco Process

Appearance

The appearance is the external look of a cigar, the most evident part of it: color, texture, fineness, if is too hard or too soft. When we touch a cigar we can recognize if a cigar has excess or defect of filler or how well conserved it is. We also use the sense of smell; if the ammoniac odor is too intense, it is because the cigar does not have the adequate grade of fermentation. If the smell of a cigar is too slight or virtually odorless it is because the cigar is too dry or too old.
